On a specific forum index, check out the area at the bottom with the pulldown menus that allows you to search based on last month, last 6 months, last year, the beginning, etc.

I clicked "the beginning" and got 24 pages in the tech forum. Now, Im not sure if that'll work the same for ya. Lemme know if it does.

I'm not sure why the basic search function doesn't search back past the time when this new version of VB was implemented, since I can find them by "manually" searching.

I'll try to explain/figure it out more tonight or tomorrow after work.

I found one of the posts you requested though so I TTT'd it for ya

Keep up the good work!

Hey Nay....

The problem should be solved as far as old posts being found via search. It turns out, after the upgrade, I had to perform something called "rebuild the search index". It would have been nice had the upgrade informed me of such a thing, hehe. Ah well, that's why they have support forums I guess.

As of right now, 24000 of the ~33000 have been "rebuilt", so by the time you read this, most of the posts will be "searchable"

Before this, when you searched, it would only come back with the posts made since the upgrade. You have to manually search through the forum pages (and view threads since the beginning) to find an old post made before the upgrade. This should no longer happen once all 33000 threads have been rebuilt.

Hope you're happy! :)

Happy? I'd say more like ecstatic! Shoot. I may post some more worthless tech stuff now... ;)

Thanks for the hard work here Fred; I know it's a PITA to do at times, and 'upgrades' always afford us the 'ooportunity' to learn more. Thanks for sorting this out for me. I can't see pics at work (darn firewalls!), and I wanted to review Marc's speaker enclosure thread, since the bomb's in the garage now, and accessible...

Did you ever take pics of your enclousure/system? I'm curious to see it...
