This was shamelessly taken from a post on HSRA (http://www.badbrass.com/cgi-bin/hsra/YaBB.cgi?board=Track;action=display;num=1025363247 ).

It's called Pine Valley Raceway Park and it will be located approximately 5 miles south of Lufkin. It is about a 1.5 hour drive from the Humble/Spring area. If you're up 59 around Kingwood/Porter it should be somewhat less than that. Typically it takes me over an hour and 15 to get to Baytown due to traffic mostly....

The track is out in the boonies, but folks, BRAND NEW, 1/4 mile (not 1/8 mile) track...

As soon as it opens, you can bet your ass you'll find me there regularly

Man, I was hoping it was closer than that. Oh well, I don't think I'm going to have much better luck than I do now. 4 tracks within 1 hour. HRP, Sealy, Navasota, and Texas World Speedway. Just pick your type of racing and go.

Yeah, me too. 45 minutes for Sealy or Baytown, an hour or less for Navasota. Can't really complain, I guess :).

What a let down. Lufkin is quite a hike from the North side. Even if you live in Humble I think Baytown is quite a bit closer.

Either way it's cool to know that there is another 1/4 mile track semi close to us other than Baytown, River City or Ennis. Lufkin is in my old stomping grounds and I garentee I'll be up there a few times when they get it open. Its probably about 2 hours from the Humble area or my house. Still not too bad IMO, Sealy is 80 miles from me and Lufkin is about 120.

Sealy is exactly 80 miles for me. Don't think I wanna drive that far to Lufkin unless there is some event to race at. Just for test and tune or bracket racing, I think I'll stick to HRP which is now only 12 miles from me.
