Wasp??

while cleaning the bathroom i found the most interesting bug....it looks alot like a wasp it is a redish orange color with oval black eyes and smoky wings and a stinger....but either this was an anorexic wasp or some strange something of another... its almost 2 inches long and VERY slender with long ass legs the some orangish color and the antenna are as long as its body and the stinger dose not just sit sticking out of its ass but folds up against it untill its pissed then it comes down and sticks out.. it was not very aggressive either until it figured out i was trying to kill it...raid for wasps didnt work either it kept it from flying but didnt kill it i poured boiling water on it after trying various chemical sprays.....basically im unemployed bored as hell and couldnt find it on the internet anyone seen anything like this before???

are you sure it wasnt a bigggg ass mud dobber? i remember one time when i was in arkansas, stayin with my dad fer a little while, i saw this house fly that was 2 1/2" long by 1" wide. talk about some freaky shit, my dad had ta step on it ta kill it, and even then, it wasnt there when i went back to its grease mark 5 mins later...... ::music to the twilight zone plays here::
