Anybody going to King Of the Strip?

Is anybody gonna try out the King of the strip races at sealy this weekend? I'm going to try to get out there to run the 8.50 index. Opens at 2 and there's a 15 mile cruse for the index classes. It's like an 1/8 mile KOTT truestreet (Fakestreet for Rick) with a pro tree.

My Dad and I will be there running in the 7.0 and 8.0 classes.
Do you know if they require the stickers to be good on your car?

I'm not sure, Chuck asked on the LSR forum (link below) and has not gotten a response. there's a 15 mile cruse so i guess you would be on the street without it. I think chuck asked on westside too with no response.

Well, it's not quiet the same as FFW's "True :bullshit: Street".

If the reaction time means anything at all, it'll be even better.

R/T means a lot in these races. I watched real close at KOTT and you could see it before it happened. Car A would leave quickly from the light and car B would leave later. Then if car B was a sandbagger and tried to fender race with car A they would break out. It happened quite a bit.

I had just read your rant on Westside and was still laughing when I wrote that. I don't think anything at the track will be quite like street racing.

Here's my idea for making REAL TRUE STREET Races

Turne the lights out and the timers off. Just a light bulb and a switch for the start.

The winning car is indicated by turn signals, hazard flashers, brake lights or other means decided by the winning car.

All disputes are settled by the fat guy!

Put a few maniquins leaning over the side of the track and every once in a while one would fall onto the track and you would have to swerve around them.

You could put a good bump in the middle of the track to piss off the faster guys.

Give one guy in the crowd a gun but make sure that 20 or thirty say that they do.

Park some semi trailers on the side of the road in the shutdown area.

Every twenty minutes sound an alarm and make everybody run to thier cars and drive off real fast. make them all park in and around the gas pumps and act like they are just there to get some gas and a snack. Whoever was raceing when the alarm goes off cannot race again for the rest of the night.

Park about thirty slow ass cars that never race all around the starting line.

Every third race put one guy in a car behind the two racers that chases them down the track to show how "IF HE WAS IN THE RACE HE COULDA WHOOPED BOTH OF THIER ASSES"

Make everybody park thier trailers down the street.

Trailering your car automatically gives the other car a few lengths. (Unless nobody sees you take it off the trailer)

Put an exit at the end of the track so that weenies can just leave after they loose without coming back to the track.

While doing your burnout two of your buddies push your car back and forth. If you don't bring two buddies to the burnout box with you, two total strangers will push your car back and forth and act like they know you. (Exception, if you are driving a piece of shit and it is obvious that you are about to get your ass handed to you, no one will push your car back and forth.)

I'm sure there is more, but it's been a while.
