I got my new injectors and mass air in yesterday. The old ones were preety nasty. I don't think one of them has a cap that's not cracked or covered in crap. I got 30lb'ers and a Pro-m bullet. I know that they are WAY bigger than I need, but it seems to run pretty good, none of the starting or idling problems that I had been warned about.
After driving it around the block a few times I got the itch to go make a few runs at the track. The car has been parked since about two CCB's ago. So I checked the oil, packed up the tires and tools, and headed out. Luckily my brother was following me there, because I ran out of gas about 10 minutes from the house :ashamed:.
So I eventually make it to the track (About 7:30) the track was PACKED. It turns out they were doing some kind of Street king stuff, I don't know if it was make up for the rain out or what, but they had the lanes FULL. I think all but one lane was completely full when I got there. I changed my tires, teched in and sat in the lanes. I don't have the slips with me, but I think my first run was about 8:45. The first pass I was racing against Mighty Mouse. I hate racing against loud race cars in a street car, you can't hear your own engine. I think he was at the end of the track and on the brakes before I shifted into third. I ran a 13.25 @101.7 with a 1.76 60' and an 8.4x 1/8. That's 3 tenths faster than I have ever run in the car. Normal times are more like 13.6 or.7 with a 8.6ish 1/8. All I did was check the oil before I ran and I know it needs a god tune up and some tuning. I only got to make one more pass before the lanes closed and the starter guy screwed up and made my light red light before I was staged, so I had to back up and start over. I spun and ran a 13.4. I don't know how much of this has to do with the weather and how much has to do with the Mass air and injectors. According to weather.com It was about 55 degrees (Good) but 96% humidity (Bad).
2 hours of driving and $15 for two passes:( , oh well, In January I want to go make a day of it and put the off-roads back on get a short belt, do some tuning and try to get a 12.9999.
