I made it to the Midnight Madness out at HRP Saturday night. Weather was great, mid 60s when I got there and mid 50s when I left. It was still a little on the humid side though. I had the 275/50/15 nittos mounted (on turbines) because I drove the car to work last week. So I made a couple passes on them. First pass off the trailer, 11.81@115.8 or so on a 1.68 sixty foot. So I hot lap the car, not changing a thing other than staying in the launch a little more and maybe up on the converter a little more, next pass (didn't even shut the car off, straight up hot lap), 11.56@116.31mph with a 1.61 sixty foot :blue: ON NITTOS!
When I launched, I felt the front wheels come up (I think both of them came up) and I stayed all in. It was awesome! I made like 2 more passes on the nittos with a 1.68 and 1.74 sixty foot and 11.70-11.80 runs. Then I switched on the ol worn out 28x11.5x15 ET Streets on the 15x8 draglites. Pressured down to 12.00 cold and made a pass, best sixty on them was a 1.63 I believe and all in the 11.60-11.63 range in ET all right between 116.1 and 116.3 mph. Then I changed the tune and made a few nitrous passes. First pass was low on bottle pressure, but pulled an awesome 1.51 sixty foot but only went 11.00 at 121mph with some popping and turning the juice off around the 1000 foot. Next pass came to a spinning 1.72 sixty foot and a 10.8x@125.5mph. One more nitrous pass resulted in a high 1.6 sixty foot and a 10.80@126.x mph. (126 mph on a 125 shot it only did 125 on a 150 shot before the rebuild). I seriously need to get the rear end done and get some real 28" ET Drags to try out, I bet its got a 10.40 in it with that mph. I'm definitely close to running out of gear though on the big end as the car starts to just flatten out up there and the stock tach is reading 6500 which has got to be near 6100 (still got a stock rev limiter). Weight hovered around 3150 all night. I really need to drop some more weight as well!
