Ben,
This project is a long way off (2-yrs, 3 cars). I've been thinking it would be cool to JY turbo the 501 that I am putting in my 64 Fairlane using EEC-IV. I found a Ford EFI distributor. Is this a doable thing for someone with above average car. electronic, and fabrication skills, but below average EFI skills. I have already read Probst's book any other literature you can recommend?

What parts should I be on the look-out for.

What could I use for injectors, I can't make over 750 hp or I risk the bottom-end of the motor.

Thanks,
Ken

It's certainly do-able. I just came across a post on turbomustangs.com where a guy is doing a DIY TT kit on a big block using EFI. Odds are he's using something like FAST/DFI. But if you can get the necessary harness, EEC, and related sensors it's definitely do-able.

There's a guy on the corral, in the classifieds section (misc electronics) that has an A9L that's been modified for low impedance injectors and a set of 72# injectors (http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=368199) that would be a good fit for a combo like that.
