I'm here again at work. Was out yesterday, had to drive down to Corpus for a funeral for my wife's uncle. He was an older guy 63 and had emphysema (SP) and walked with an O2 tank, so his suffering is over. But man, the drive stunk. Got up at 4:30am, out of the house by 5am, first stop 5:20am for gasoline, next stop about 6:30am in Rosenberg for some food and so Renee could walk around. Next stop 8:15am in Refugio so Renee could walk around. Next stop about 9:15 in northwest Corpus to change clothes at another uncles house, then on the the church at 9:50. Funeral started about 10:15. About 11:30 its over to the mess hall for some lunch. About 12:30 we're outta there and headed back to Houston! First stop Refugio for Renee to change out of her dress clothes. Next stop, some ford dealership in Rosenberg. We decided along the way home that we wanted to start looking at trading in her Impala for a mini van LOL. We looked at the Ford Windstar, then down the road looked at the Chrysler Town Country. She liked the seating setup of the Windstar better. She wants to be able to have two car seats in the middle seat, then room for someone to step around the middle seat to get in the back seat, that way you don't have to remove one of the car seats everytime someone needs to sit in the back. Well, we weren't ready to even start dealing, so we left and headed on home. Turns out my parents weren't home with my daughter, they were at the Junior High Football game that my little sister is Cheerleading at, so we went and watched that for a while. Then headed on home and I cooked Spaghetti, ate dinner, then watched the Dragonheart part 2 movie and went to bed.
Today, well, just got here so not much happening yet. I plan to study some since my first class was Monday. I have to write a few basic introductory java programs and answer the Chapter Review questions. Other than that, just normal work LOL!

the kids are off to school...aaron is just about ready for his morning nap...what's a girl to do?
i have a lunch date with my favorite hottie - the traffic fighting super hero, F-You Man! he's faster than a speeding honda, more powerful than...*yawn* it's too early to be witty.
i'm wondering if doug ran into his traffic buddy again today, i think doug's brother richard made him take a different route today to avoid all the excitement.
sorry about your wife's uncle, carl.
toodles,

I woke up late this morning (not that that is totally unordinary), left for work at 7:45ish... I DIDN'T GET TO WORK UNTIL 10!! I fucking hate traffic! There is no reason whatsofuckingever that BOTH freeways coming from the North should be backed up! It took me 40 minutes to get from Gulf Bank/45 to Tidwell/45, which is a whole 3/4 exits! So then, I decided to go over to 59, thinking MAYBE it wouldn't be as bad as 45... WRONG! It totally sucked!
Blah!
Other than that, I'm having a pretty good morning so far. I'm really tired, but that's nothing new.
Micaela has dance tonight... yay! I really dig the fact that she looks forward to class now, I think it's probably because her class is smaller and the lil shits that were rude to everyone last year are no longer in her class.
I have to balance my checkbook and pay bills sometime today, before they're all late! One plus, I have an extra hundred bucks because the guy I did the website for, gave me an extra hundred for this program I bought to make java applets. (I'm too lazy to actually learn how to code javascript!)
Oh yeah! Shane you're right, most women are rude ass people when driving! I let this woman in this morning and she gave me a dirty look! I was like WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU BITCH! heh...
:trout:
Hi, my name is Jenn and I'm a road-rage-aholic!
lol
Have a good day folks! :fu:

Well, I'm about to call it a day. Just waiting for the Plant Manager to give me my exit interview so I can power bomb his ass into next week about this comp time BS. Ben, I'll swing by this evening, I did get some powergrip comp at least.

darva, i here you on the traffic. i finally had to get off at parker and cut over to shepherd. my normal drive is 35 minutes. this morning it was about an hour. the freeway message said "travel time to downtown 40 min @ 9:15" and that was from west road. WTF?

I think there was a wreck on the loop that backed up 45... I dunno tho... IT WAS CRAZY! :hmm:
lol
/me makes a mental note to go to bed early tonight and to leave for work earlier and maybe miss the traffic!
K, not likely to happen, but I can try!

Had a somewhat crappy day at work. Piece of equipment lost a seal. The device was made 1-yr before I got there (87). Guess who has to find a seal for a shaft going 600 rpm @1000psi and listen to "we got to run these tests - we have a $6 Mill tender and these tests are required." Shoulda thought ahead!!!! Then my engineer goes to his LPT meeting at the other building and they end up talking about BIRD DROPPINGS on a sidewalk. Needless to say I'm pissed - he had to work about 1/2 hr late to finish up a project cause he got stuck talking about bird shit. Not a good thing for employee morale. I'm sick of my employee's time being wasted. My boss and I are going to have a chat about that.
On the brighter side, I got the accellerator pedal locked-down in ButtUgly. It was just mounted to the aluminum sheet firewall. Now it's bolted to a bracket welded to the mid-plate mount.

On another note:
A party just broke out at my house.
Jose' Quervo (a good friend of yours) just showed up, along with a bunch of cool looking Messican chix (along with my 'totally-white girl', SusieQ).
All are invited - next stop - Yorkshire pub - KARAOKE NIGHT!!!
Me = "Feelings, nothing more than feelings. Feelings like I've never had before.....".etc.,
You won't want to miss it.

You don't want a Windstar dude! I've got one as a company car and it's a pile! hehe

We're going to look at a couple others as well. We have a 03 windstar here at work, the stripped model (ie, no rear air, hubcaps, white with black handles) and have had no problems from it yet (although we only have about 3k plant miles on it). On the other hand, my grandparents have a 99 windstar SEL with all the bells/whistles, the stupid power sliding doors have given them a lot of problems and they just put a transmission in it as well. hmmmm, decisions.

Mine is a 99 stripped-down Fleet vehicle. Granted, I drive the piss out of it....but I've had plenty of problems out of it! LOL Transmission shifts like crap, interior pieces screwing up, etc.
Maybe it's actually a testament to the van's durability that it's still moving under it's own power! Ask Fred how I drive this thing. LOL Oh yeah, the 3.0L V6 doesn't stand a chance of doing a burnout....I would highly recommend against it :)
