This a good price for a used notebook?

An aquaintence of mine in Dallas has a Dell cpi that he says is about a year old. 366 mHz, 128meg, 5 gighard drive (he thinks though said it might be bigger). Anyone ever heard of the cpi?
He said he is giving me a deal at $300 dollars. When it comes to the value of computer, Im i the dark but figured some of you would know.

I doubt you will find many pentiums cheaper than that. I would say that is a fair price and it should do what you need to do jst fine if it has the USB hookups.

Not sure of the OS...I'll ask. And yes it has a USB port.
Sounds like a plan Chris though it may be almost a month before that happens:(. I'm running up to Dallas this weekend, leaving for vacation the Saturday the 29th and wont be back til the Saturday after the 4th. Maybe if the stars align right, we could run over then next Friday evening.

Yes, I have.. The link below is to an auction for a CPi on eBay.. Just to give you an idea of what they are going for on there...

The one above only has 64 megs of RAM but has been upgraded to 400mhz and the bid is already up to $425. In my experience as an eBay addict, most anything will sell a ton cheaper on eBay that what it is worth - great deals. (at least that is how I excuse my addiction to eBay..)

Taking all of that into consideration, I think $300 is a great deal for that laptop...
