Anyone know where I can get rid of an old grenaded 460 shortblock?? Actually it can be fixed, but I'm not willing to invest the time right now. I need it gone ASAP.

All it needs is one cylinder bored and sleeved. I even have spare set of rods and pistons to put back in it.

$1 per 100lbs kinda sucks!!! But I'm sure I can round up some other junk to get rid of along with it.

Ken, if the other guy doesn't want it we may get together and make a trip to the scrap yard.

I hear ya bro. I spent all day cleaning up my dads place. Hooked the trailer to the pickup, loaded all of the scrap metal (he owns an industrial machine shop), all of the remnants of his projects (which included old engine blocks like 440's and 500 Caddies), a couple of generators and all sorts of other stuff. Hauled this stuff to the recycling center...and drove off with $7.20 in my pocket :(

I think I spent more on gas hauling it off :mad:

It's funny...whenever I mention my dad's shop I get this same reaction from everyone hehehhe.

Acutally my dad's shop is up north past Cleveland. He's pretty much retired now and has sold off most of his stuff. Now he only has a few smaller machines in the basement of his house. I run up there every now and then if I need to throw something into a lathe.
