<center>Susan and I recently went to the Houston Zoo
(1st time for me in a long time).

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised when she
pointed this exhibit out to me.

"Maverick" The Spirit of Texas
By definition, a Maverick is
1: an unbranded range animal, especially: a motherless calf
2: an independent individual who does not
go along with a group or party

In this case, the "Texas Long Horn" signifies Texas' heritage and motto, "The Lone Star State".

Stay tuned for more history lessons and rambling-on's.

The only part I have trouble with is the part about a Maverick not going along with a party. I know better.
