For those that don't know, I recently returned the stang to near stock motor condition. Just about the only mods on the motor are 1.7 rockers, CAI, and pulleys. Other then that, it is stock from the mass air meter to the cam. The car still has the full exhaust with LT's, and some what of a drag suspension. After several 14.0's at 92-96 mph on brand new Nitto's mounted on Pony's, I finally ran a best of 13.84 at only 91 mph. The mph was low cause I lifted on the big end trying not to break out running brackets. This was with a less then great 60' of only 1.94. The weather also sucked. I would guess it to be high 80's with like 90% humidity. I think the car cas some mid 13's in it with a better 60' and in better air.

Overall I guess I am happy with the cars performance. The shock of going from a 12.0 N/A car to a car that struggles to break into the 13's is very hard to stomach. Oh well.

The highlight of my weekend was making it to the finals in Street Ford at FFW on Sunday. Thats the pass I ran the 13.84 on. I broke out on that pass with a 13.98 dial. Got me a nice 2' trophy for it though. :D

Thanks, Martin. I suppose I owe you a beer or two. I never heard them call my class. Afer you told me it had been called, I raced over to the staging lanes to find most of the class had already ran leaving only 5 cars left. I feel sorry for the guy I ran. He was scheduled to get a by run till I showed up. After I showed, the only thing he got was a losing time slip. :D

Well damn. I thought it was you I raced on Sunday. I was hoping I got my revenge against the person that took me out on Sat. Thanks for the support none the less. You and Tiff are some great bracket racers. I was honestly a lil worried when in the Semi's I saw both of you in the staging lanes. Personally I get more satisfaction knowing I rowed my manually shifted car past some tough automatic cars. Dan did a hell of a job in the finals. Leave it to me to cut the worst light of the day in that round. I knew he was going to be tough and I had to be on my game. Props goes out to him for a good race.

You definatley deserve the trophy, especially considering the rowing effect of the manual tranny.

Dan from HALO had been NAILING the tree all day long... he's a pretty tough cookie as well...

Thanks again for the kind words, WE really enjoy bracket racing and these mark VIII's make it pretty painless to drive, not to mention.... in the LAP OF LUXURY...

Anyways.. all in all it was a great weekend!

Thanks for the honorable mention, it really feels GOOD to get "noticed" by the "race car crowd".
