Remember last week (or month - everyday is a Saturday to me) Big Bird ran a best 1/8th of 7.22?

With the new NOVI 2000, I think he's going to break into the 6's tonight (with just a 'little' help from a mixture of gases commonly found in our environment (take THAT Nader!).

Oh, and my neighbor is taking his '67 BB Chevelle out tonight. He just put a new and improved (bigger) carb on it. He should break into the 6's for HIS first time too!

We're headed out in a few.

I LOVE the smell of money and burning rubber!

/me goes to window, lays money down and says "Big Bird - to win"

Test and Tune Reviewed:

As hoped, Big Bird busted the 7 second barrier. The NOVI 2000 put out it's 17 lbs of boost at ~5.5 grand.

That, combined with help from a shot of inert gas, delivered a best E.T. of 6.970 at 103.68 mph (on a hot summer's eve).

My neighbor (BB Chevelle) also ran his best - a 7.10 at 98.XX mph on motor alone. A few jets alone will propel him into the 6 second club the next time out.

There were quite a few soon-to-be Big Dawgs there T-n-T'ing as well. Wheel standing - Awesome Blossoming whores.

All in all, and on a personal level, it was the best T-n-T event so far this year.

Both buddies are looking at consistent 6.9's and better from here on out.

Among the most satisfying and lasting moments of the evening was the luxury of riding home in the Bird with the mild rumble of four mufflers and the cold A/C breeze enveloping the cabin providing that 'true street' and satisfying feeling of 'triumph-with-style'.

Ahhh... the aroma of 6 second street rides brings a tear of joy to mine eyes.

In summary: I laughed, I cried, called Mom and told her I loved her.

T'was a good night - a night that will be remembered as the (once seemibly-impenetrable) break-through of the 7 second wall.
