They have some upgraded internals for the T-5 as well as the T-56. Don't know if I believe the claim of it withstanding 500 ft/lb and 600 rwhp car...but nice to have some options on the rebuild.

I have also been checking out the tranny upgrades. What I wonder is if their upgrades make the t-5 stronger than a Tremec. That is what we need to determine. Tremec does not rate their trannies at what the g-force people are rating their upgrades, thats for sure.

Darrell,
I just was asking Chris about the G-force stuff the other day (he never replied, so I'm guessing he's claiming ignorance :D ). Have you seen any prices on their stuff? I requested a catalog/information and have yet to receive it, but I have heard the stuff is pretty pricey. Any thoughts/information?

Kyle,
From what I've heard, the whole shooting match is $1600 installed. Which is completely insane if you ask me..LOL
Maybe if you were a class racer and HAD to use a T-5 in order to meet class rules. But as far as a street transmission, IMHO, you'd be better off with a Tremec.

Yeah, I called for pricing. They told me it was $900 for the kit and $200 to install it, for a total of $1100, or you could buy one new for like $1900.

That actually sounds very reasonable when compared to tremec prices. especially if you figure in the incedentals to going with a different than stock tranny and the power handling capacity's are equivalent.

Yah, if the power numbers are as great as they claim, then I am all for it. It would be lighter, just as strong, and less money than to switch over to Tremec. Sounds like a hell of a deal to me :)

Sorry, I am ignorant, LOL!
I looked Kyle, but only for a few seconds; someone has to attend the still, you know!
Seems fair, compared to Tremec parts; they are $$$!!!

Chris, you act like you don't just have gobs and gobs of time. Come on man, we all know you sit by the phone waiting for the next call for a T5 repair.
/me ducks hoping to not get hit by a T5 slung from Alvin
I'm just giving you a hard time man. We both know my car would be just as immobile if it had a working T5 in it today, LOL!
