I'm just dying to know since I was unable to make it.
I did go out and put about 100 miles on the Mustang today, seems to be fairly road worthy.
So who has braggin' rights????

All hail to the Rickster... :hail: He made it so the semis (last four cars) before going out to a very good competitor in a Lightning with a .495 light. Still made one hell of a showing though! Way to go Rick!
A few people had new bests, I'll let Fred chime in on his but my coupe for the first time out ran 8.24@85 mph with a crappy 1.88 60' bouncing off the rev limiter about 50' before the traps in second gear. The car has a problem with the valvebody and won't shift into third but I hope to fix this week. I wasn't expecting much, as I'm still trying to figure out how to drive it, but if I can make it hook the mph is there for high 7's in the 1/8 mile.
All in all it was a good showing and I know I had a blast.
Thanks to everyone that made it out.

I think my clutch has finally given up the ghost....this may be the last CCB till I get it fixed. I guess we'll see how brave I am come the next CCB...:)

Fred was nice enough to let me race his vert since mine is still torn apart. With that, I went out with a blazing 9.76 dial. Unfortunately for me, I went out in the second round with a .498 red light  .

I have to say it was NICE for bracket racing. Not having to pay attention to shift points, making sure I hit all the shifts correctly and as quickly as possible, and not really having the power to potentially blow away the tires on launch was sweet. Even with the miles and neglect on it, the vert was suprisingly consistant. The sad part is all I had to do was worry about cutting good rection times. Leave it to me to blow that part :ashamed: .
Although I really enjoy the 5-speed in my car for driving around town, I must say I am hooked on the auto. It makes things soooooo much simpler for bracket racing which is what I do for the most part now. I think I will start saving for a good AOD that can handle regular trips to the track.
BTW, Fred, I think the vert could probably use a rebuild in the rear. When doing my John Force wanna be burn-outs :blue: to dry off the tires, I could feel one grab and the other continue to spin a little. I doubt that bothers you much, though, seeing as you don't plan on racing it any more. Cristina, you should have tried running the vert in the powder puff race. That could have helped in experience. On well.

Re: Powder Puff
Oh lordy! Don't get her started!
For the record, and for those of you who know her well wiill not be surprised that, Cristina chooses NOT to run in an event that is given a sissy name ("Powder Puff").
She agreed that she'd probably enter and win the trophy if it was called "Good Looking Chicks with Major Balls!" :D
Missed ya Cris. It was good seeing (read: groping) you again.
:kisses: :fondles: and a great big :chubby: ;)
