man, if you're gonna do it, do it RIGHT! :D
I've been doing pretty good on my goals for this project... I HOPE to have a motor/tranny in it and be ready to start fabbing in ~10 days or so...
I've got 5 pair of new headers on the way, and I THINK I found a dude to cut all my flanges for me.
thanks again!

Chris,
I TOLD you the thing was actually pretty clean recently!!
the main thing was getting the friggin' coupe out of there so I could get some breathing room... I took those 10holes and some other stuff to storage and just kinda rearranged a little...
now I just gotta find an engine/tranny :(
I think I'm getting old, cuz I don't want to pull one at the junkyard!
trying to find someone with a blown motor... I'll probably put a T5 in there just to make sure I clear the clutch cable alright...
I'll keep y'all updated!

well... I'm tryin' to find a complete engine with accessories... I'll probably get one at the JY for a couple hundred... at this point, I think it'll be worth the time/energy saved vs. running around getting various pieces here and there...
the first run of kits are gonna be 302 based... I may do a run of 351 kits in the future, but my bread n' butter is going to be the 302 kits...
a T5 case and tailhousing would be sweet, but I think the cost of getting it here would offset any $$ savings... I'll probably end up hanging a 4cyl box back there...
I THOUGHT about "gutting" a 302 block and a pair of heads to keep the weight of the whole assembly down (and then I briefly toyed with the notion of getting one of those plastic blocks and trannies... I could stand the whole assembly on end if I needed to! but then I came back down to earth on both of those notions, and decided to KISS it and just drop in a complete engine even if it is a little more difficult to move around...
I'd still like to build a rolling frame under it, but I don't think it's gonna happen... it would be nice for WHEN the garage starts to get cluttered again, but it's gonna cost time and money, and I can get by just fine without it...

IMHO I would bolt an AOD behind it because you can build it to clear a t-5 and it not clear and AOD also if it clears an aod than it clear a safety bellhousing. Also if you are worryied about the clutch cable then bolt it up to the firewall and zip tie it down in the general vicinityt of wher4e it go on a T-5.
PS. Those look like Air Research T-04's I'll take 2 just the tubo have the ehaust already. J/K seriously though they do make good turbos for a twin set up on a 302. My little hint maybe unwanted but here it is when you do the 351's use a larger ehaust housing or an external wastegate to help prevent overspeed.(nothing like something spinning over 150,000 RPM coming apart.)

Shag,
I thought about that, but I've decided that the downpipes are going to terminate at and bolt up to the factory h-pipe location, so there won't be any interferance issues... if your aftermarket hpipe clears the tranny, it'll still clear...
they're actually .60 trim T3's from the ford 2.3 turbo cars...

got turbos? why... yes, yes I do! :D

no bad .63's right now, and actually, if I did have a bad one, I'd go ahead and hold onto it and use it for mock-up. sorry :(
