Aight..I will be gettin' the stang painted here before too long, and I was just wondering what color do y'all think looks the best on a fox-body car? At first I was thinking black, or red..but I htink that those are TOO played out, so then I got to thinking about true blue. I think that would look VERY good with limo tint and chrome cobra r's. Well...I've lately been thinking of the teal green like on the '93 cobra's, it's just a beautiful color, and there aren't too many cars out there that are that color, so I think it would stand out a little more. Any opinions are GREATLY apprecaited :D

Before I even finished reading the thread i was going to reply "True Blue"!! But the Teal color is also very pretty on stangs. I think the true blue with dark tint and chrome R's would look best IMO ;).

heh...I think so too...The car's got the whole Cobra ground effects, and taillights..I'm NOT putting the cobra emblems or anything on the car. Leaving the "clean-uncluttered" look to it. I'd absolutely LOVE true blue, but a buddy of mine is painting his car that color, so bleh. BUT..the difference is..before painting it, I am stripping the whole interior, windows, moulding, ground effects, etc. to get everything painted, and have a factory look. Oh well...let's keep the ideas coming!!

I would say Autumn (sp) Amber, but that is the color I want to paint my car and I don't want to many of that before I do mine..LOL

Okay, I feel obligated to suggest "Grabber Green".
In 1970, Ford offered the 'special' color only on the Shelby's and Boss's.

Well, further research shows they did paint one (out of all 40 made) Mustang "SIDEWINDER SPECIAL" (http://people.freenet.de/pony/sidewinder.htm) Grabber Green.
Oh, The only non-Mustang car they painted this color that year was - the 1970 Maverick Grabber (did I mention I own a '70 Maverick Grabber - originally painted "Grabber Green (http://users3.ev1.net/~rickbook/grabbergreen.jpg)"?)
Then, there's the rare Texas special edition, "Blue Bonnet Blue" (with a gold Texas State emblem on the front fender)

But I like bright red (1990 Ford color code E3) too. :D

You might check with d.hughmanick@prodigy.net at http://pages.prodigy.net/d.hughmanick/ltd600.html.
He seems to be the "600 Mustang Limited Edition" guru and could possibly get you a Ford color code. I'm not sure if the color you see on your PC screen would be exactly what you'd get. But, hey! If the color looks cool digitized, then that's not all bad either! :)
Good luck,
Rick
