who should build my motor?

i am ready to get my 351 together.i would rather build it myself , but i have no time. i want to drop it off in pieces and pickup a complete shortblock. westside machine told me somewhere around $1,000 parts and labor. does this sound correct? i would rather not take it out to katy as westside will take forever. anyone local to the northside?

I used G&G up in Tomball. However they didn't assemble my shortblock, I had a bunch of buds come over to help me do that.

I was VERY happy with the work they did, however they aren't inexpensive. But like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
