Finally found the tap I needed, got the lower sealed right the first try. Engine compartment looks much better, got my valve covers and everything clean while I had it all out of there. I can feel the difference, I can stay in it longer now...definitely more SOTP feeling too, also installed the CAI. I ran out half a tank of gas and turned over to 52K last night just drivin around because I was so happy to have it back on the road. Hopefully I'll have a pic or two soon.

Cool! Congrats! It's anti-climatic when you have to fight the fight, but it actually forces you to learn...(or it does me...).
Good job, Bob!

I just did my first head gasket, I can totally relate to just wanting to cruise around and enjoy the fruits of your labor, it definately gave me a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment, but I couldn't have done it without the friends I've made through this site. Thanks

Robert,
Once you do your FIRST head-gasket change out, you just can't resist wanting change out more and more and more....
See the attached file. I used to just LOVE 'learning' how to change head gaskets! :D (before new AFR heads)
