Fellow PoMoFo's, please reply if you plan to attend the next car club bash at Sealy (Satuday June 8th).

Since Fred and Christina didn't invite me to join them on their honey moon, I, for one, will be there.

Next?

I plan on being there. And I plan on getting there early enough to race this time. Should have the car ready this time.

Chris,

Let's get that clutch swapped out. Between the two of us and our 'free time' we should be able to get it knocked out. ;)

Yeah, I'd like to meet all you guys/gals!
I should be able to make it, as I said, but I'll just have to be the cheering section this time around.

My plans are going to be up in the air probably at least till Thursday, but I'm 75% sure I will be out of town, but hey begging doesn't hurt!.

If I'm in town I'll be there but I don't have my trailer so I won't be bringing the canopy this time either way. I'll just drive the car to the track this time. If someone wants to come get it though we can make arrangements.

Sounds like we may have a good turn out for this one...I wish everyone luck!

...everyday is an adventure!

Judging by the recent poolside picture, I'd say so ;).

So what's this about no canopy? I can't be out in the sun very long...I might melt! Seriously, will there be no shade? I'd consider buying one of the pop up canopy things from Wal-Mart.

Yep, no shade this time...the support poles for the canopy are 10 feet long and I can't get them in the vert...this usually isn't a problem when I trailer my car out there. We had thought about pitching in a buying one of the pop up canopies but these fell into my lap for free (actually have a 10x12 and a 20x10) and afterall we are PoMoFo's right? :D

Chris 'Charlie Brown' Neighhayhayahaybors

You gotta bring your own chairs! I have to draw the line somewhere! (You want me to buy drinks too?)

Gates open at 1 p.m. with time trials starting around 1:30 and eliminations starting aroun 3 p.m. For those of you who have never been, we try to park right on front of the fense just past the stands. I will be there around 12:45 so I can try to get our spots reserved.

Do you guys meet up somewhere before hand to convoy out there?

Nay: I take it you're bringing your tent so I don't have to go buy one?

I plan on attending for the first time. I'm going to bring the "Green Machine" but I'm not going to race. I still want to get either some bigger injectors or a FMU. not to mention I have a vacuum leak at the intake that I have tried everything known to man to cure but can't seem to fix it!
Oh well, I'll still get to come see the sights and enjoy the company :D

MY CAR IS CURSED!!!!!
Not ten minutes after posting I decided to run over to the local parts house to get some 1.5" hose. I've been hearing a "burrr" type sound in between shifts. I know it was from the air backing up against the turbo when the throttle was shutting. So I wanted to install a blowoff valve I've had lying around for over a year now. On the way home (about 2 blocks) the oil pressure drops likes an anvil from a 5 story building. i make it home and hope the wire had come loose............No dice. The pump has locked the fork up!!!!! I must have dropped aomething down the intake during the chronic install/removal procedure I went through the past few days.
The motor didn't knockbut I'm going to change the main and rod bearingsalong with the oil pump (hey it's all right there any way!)
I have it ready and will yank it out and get it on the stand tomorrow before noon. I'll go grab a pump and bearings and hope to have it ready to drop back in the car on Friday. If all goes well maybe I can still make the CCB.
Anyone free for some to lend a friendly hand? Always need all the help you can get stabbing the motor back into the car.

Alex,

You PoMoFo! What can I say? Except "That sucketh!"

You're profile info says you live at 59/610 split. Uh, what part of town are you really in? Maybe I could help for a couple of hours.

Good luck either way,

Rick

I have that because I spend so much time driving the split! My car and stuff I keep on the Southeast off Scott and 610 but I live off Bissonnet and Kirkwood..
Hey if you are available anytime soon let me know I just hooked the motor to the cherry picker and plan on yanking it soon as I finish eating.

shawn and i may be able to help some if we get the exhaust on his car done, but shawn is better at breaking stuff than fixing it. lol =)

Well the motor is out and the pan is off. I pulled a few caps to check the bearings and they look like I just installed them. I'm going to check all the main bearings to be on the safe side and then I'm re-torqueing the bolts cleaning everything out, painting the block, slapping the new pump on and looking to drop it back in.
If you guys are available anytime tomorrow I'd sure appreciate the help on stabbing the thing back in. I usually pull the motor with the tranny but I just didn't feel it was necessary this time. I try to get all the "hands" I can get when having to stab the thing back in to the tranny. If not, thanks for keeping me in mind anyhow :D I'll PM you with my cell number
