Owns a flamed black coupe in Tomball?
I was talking to a coworker who lives in Magnolia, (he drives a SLOW black 86 fireturd with silver stripes) about how I was thinking about taking my income tax return and a little cash and buying a drivable, streetable coupe and he starts talking about stroking his rod at the Midas Muffler shop on 2920 where he saw a 87-93 black coupe with flames for $6500 obo. A little high for what I want, but just curious, anyone know him? If so, what does it have (drivetrain, mods) and is it worth it? He's tired of his turd getting beat by stock fox bodies and is ready to come to the light. Hell he took the 305, bored it 30 threw in a set of forged flattops, a .480/220 dur cam, had the crappy assed heads reworked with screw in studs and a little port work, roller rockers,a set of 3.42 gears, 2500 stall convertor, and it still runs 14.90s. At the time I had a 11.5-1 406 shortblock sitting at my buddies shop in fort worth that someone never paid me for, I'd a let it go for 2500 to him, sold it later for 3500 so things turned out ok.
