Just wanted to let you guys now that I've made quite a bit of progress over the last couple of weeks. I'm in the process of swaping over all the mods from the vert into a much lighter coupe. Over Christmas I managed to get the fuel system (intank pumps and aux Trex) swaped out along with pulling the built 31 spline rear end out of the vert and getting it installed in the coupe along with the single adjustible lower control arms and double adjustible uppers with an air bag in the rear spring. I've also finsihed the battery relocation, mounting the bottle brackets and the battery cutoff switch. The stock rear end had 3.73's in it as well and will be going back into the vert along with disc brakes from a turbo coupe.
I spent yesterday pulling the built motor out of the convertible and installing a stock replacement motor that came out of the coupe into it. Also I tore the bult motor down to clean it up and install a fresh rear main seal and oil pan gasket. Then, this morning I mated the C4 to the motor and dropped it into the coupe along with a set of solid mounts and a set of BBK long tubes.
Now I'll go back to getting the convertible finished so that I can have my daily driver back. I hope to have vert running next weekend and the coupe done and running in the next month or so.
Here is a picture of the engine now in the coupe.

And the actual coupe. I should have the front end back on it in a couple of weeks. BTW, I traded a 77 International Scout that I bought for $500 for this car, the coupe had a 86 front end on it (don't ask me why) but I have a 91 front end that is going on the car. First priority is to get it running, I'll get it painted before FFW in Houston.

Sweet, finally coming along with it. So you're not putting a roll bar in the coupe? You're going to need it!

Rollbar and subframes are sitting in my garage waiting to go in. I'm going to get it running first and then get them installed.

I'm going to keep the rollbar in the vert for now. Its just a bolt in Maximum Motorsports bar so I can pull it anytime. I don't drive it every day with the side bars in it but I like the added safety factor that the rest of the four points give me when driving the car daily on the street.
Ya, I know, not another white coupe but the fact of the matter is that since I've been involved in mustangs I've always wanted a white coupe. In fact I almost bought one back in 87 when the newer fox body just came out...so this is in fact the car I always wanted.

Well after about a month I have made some more progress on the coupe. I've spent a lot of time working on the convertible to get it where I can drive it everyday again and I think I finally got the brakes on it figured out (went to four lug disc).
All the drivetrain is in the coupe, as well as the driveshaft and driveshaft loop, the entire exhaust, the belt and pulleys, new FMS balancer, the 130 amp alt and the upper intake with the nitrous system are all back on the motor now. I need to finish wiring for the ministarter and the 130 amp alt as well as finishing mounting the wires in the fenderwells and I should be ready to fire it up before long. It won't make the March CCB bout should be there in April!
I can't wait to get this thing running!
