RSI Dynoday - Jan 11th (includes Air/Fuel wideband)

I'm posting this for a friend, some of you might have seen his supercharged Red Dakota R/T at the CCB. Anyhoo.....

RSI (located past Hwy 6 on Westhiemer) has confirmed a Dyno Day on January 11th, 2003.

We need at least 30 cars for a price of $35, if we only get 20 cars its $45 (either way it's cheaper than the $75 normal price). The price includes two pulls with air/fuel mapped to your horsepower/RPM.

We are going to sign up 30 vehicles and have 10 alternates. Between now and January 4th, I need the following info for those who are going to participate:

1) name 2) email address 3) year, make and model of vehicle 4) time preference (9AM - 8PM)

Items 1 and 3 will be faxed to RSI on 1/4/03, they have asked for that info. Item 2 will be used to send you a reminder 1 week and then another a day or two prior to the event. I like the idea of having two hour time slots, once I get all the info together we'll discuss that with RSI so that I can populate the list and get some approximate times on the list. If I can manage to get a good idea from RSI on the times, I will use item 4 for scheduling.

So far we have 10 vehicles confirmed.

Same here.....I've already signed up for the Strictly Pro dyno day, but I would rather go somewhere closer to home.....just in case LOL. Who's all going to RSI?

I can go anytime but i would kind of like to hang out and see some of the other cars dyno also.
Is that gonna be ok, or does RSI only want a few cars to show up at a time and after they are done have them leave and bring in another few cars ?

I got a video camera for Christmas that I'm itching to try out, so if anyone wants their car video'd while on the dyno, let me know.

Im not sure what time ill be there, i guess depends on what time slot i get or what not. I would like to get there early and watch everyone else.
Ill be there with my camera taking pics and hopefully you can get a video of my dyno run :p

UPDATE - As of right now we have 24 vehicles signed up. 6 slots left, and we will also have some alternate slots to run in place of no-shows, more on that after 1/6/03.

The complete list will be faxed to RSI this weekend, once that's done I will send out the list with some approximate times to the email addresses you sent me. Provided we get 6 more cars the price will be $35, bring $45 just in case.

Oh, yeah ok, I showed up late :), but the battle scars on my hands from thrashing on the S/S braided hose until 2AM Saturday and then working on it 4 more hours Sat. morning should be worth some slack..eh? :D Throwing everything in the back (didn't have time to set the timing) and headed down to RSI. Programming a "tune" in the parking lot while pouring down rain, jumping on the dyno and having it stay together... PRICELESS!!

Just with a cam swap (thanks Ben!) I picked up 50rwhp and 30rwtq. From 420 to 470rwhp and 400 to 430rwtq. Time to take it easy on the stock bottom end. YIKES!

Looking forward to doing it again when the atmospheric condition isn't at (.96) corrected.
