I'm looking to buy my mom's house, the house I've lived in all my life. I'm not sure what I should do, but since I know whose house it is, I don't really want to involve a realator as that's just extra money I have to pay, IMO.

I'm not sure which would be cheaper: if she gave it to me or if I bought it (tax and all that wise). Can someone recommend a real-estate lawyer that I can talk to? I want someone good and relatively cheap as lawyers, just by name, are expensive.

I'd be happy to go into more detail if someone here can help me.

When I bought my house from a friend I just went to a mortgage broker to get a loan and made all the arrangements through him. He got my mortgage approved and then handled everything including the title company. Talk to a finance company first or a broker, they should be able to help. If you want the name of mine just PM me.

Good Luck!
