what should my oil pressure be at?

Rule of thumb is 10 psi for every 1000rpm the motor turns. That being said, the motor in my 90 saw about 50 psi max and 6200+ rpm and no problems whatsoever...

Yes, I agree my engine turned 8000rpm with a max pressure of 50 psi. If that is where it has always ran at, I dont see a problem. Of course if it use to run at a higher pressure then I would have to find out why.

if it's down around zero.. just rev it, rev it, and rev it some more..

it should come up then..

or your rods will fly out of the block..
