Finally made it to a 1/4 track tonight for a chance at new times. I pretty much ran right around what I was expecting. Previous best 1/4 was a 12.40 at 110 mph with a 1.73 60' on BFG DR's.

Tonights new best on the same BFG DR's:

60'........ 1.645   :D
330'...... 4.925
1/8....... 7.672
mph...... 89.08
1000'.... 10.053
1/4....... 12.057
mph...... 112.27

I was aboslutely amazed at the 60'. Previous best 60' on the DR's was a 1.69. I felt it had around a 1.67 in it. I couldn't believe when I saw a 1.64. Keep in mind my car still has stock control arms and 100k mile bushings. When I saw the time slip, I yelled so loud, I think I hurt my hearing cause I was still wearing my helmet  . Expect me to be saying huh and what for the next couple of days.

Overall, the car performed about like I felt it should. I was hoping to see 1-2 more MPH in the 1/4, but oh well. Not bad for a N/A 304 with blow-by in 2 cylinders :D .

Look out Spence. I may just have to get serious and come run in the the DR classes.

Woohoo. Those front tires had to be showing some light under them with a 1.64!
Good job bro!

Awesome dude! Congrats, but now you're a member of the 12.doh club. Took me a longtime to get back to 11s after the roll bar was installed. 1.64 is awesome on those drag radials, but they don't look like they'll take much more beating. I figured the last CCB we had that they would be done afterwards.

I thought that also two CCB's ago. But I have cut new best 60's the last two times I have been to the track since. I wonder if no longer street driving on them has played any factor in it

Well, I drove on those that I had until they were straight up slick, maybe just a little more than yours were at the last CCB. I think I might have seen some steel showing when I took them to comp sales to have the ET Streets installed. I was cutting consistent mid to high 1.6s on them when they were that slick. I did cut that 1.59 one time, but maybe it was a freak, or I staged really deep or something like that.
