All you Stang guys are getting new best ET's so it's my turn.
At HRP tonight
1.72 '60
7.8 @ 90 mph 1/8
12.11 @ 113 mph
This was on Nittos with no nitrous. Not bad for a stock motored car eh? :D
I was actually hoping for an 11.99999 but I can now see that won't be possible until I resolve the rev limiter issue. With the 4.10 gearing I'm bouncing off the rev limter way before the traps...so I have to finish the last 50 yds of the track with the motor cutting out.

That rocks Chris. What mods are on that bad boy besides the nittos?

M6 or A4 car? Got a friend that ran a 1.72 on Dunlop SP8000s at the local track (200 treadwear , regular radial tire) in his 00 formula A4 car. 8.04 best 1/8th in it though. Doesnt really have many bolt ons outside of tranny mods and LCAs. Fast-Toys (i think)air box, slp catback and the 'free' mods. Stock manifolds and computer...
Congrats, that thing is flying...

4.10 gears
MAC headers
MTI lid
245 Nittos
That's it. I have a cam sitting in a box in my garage. I can't bring myself to tear into the motor though...at least not yet.

Oh...and it's a 6 speed car. From what I've seen the auto do launch a bit better but the stick cars have quite a bit more mph.

It makes me sick to know what all I had to do to my car to get it to that point. You are able to do it with so few mods!! Damn LS1's :fu: .
/me is now on a mission to hit 11's before Guff. :o
Congrats again dude.

Guuf get at least a hypertech or something to get rid of the rev limiter and the cam swap is easy on those cars you don't even need to take the intake off.

WOOHOO!
Went to HRP again tonight.
NEW best
1.67 '60
7.78 @ 91 mph
12.04 @ 114 mph
I just couldn't squeak that 11 sec mark in. :ashamed:
However I was talking to Juan tonight (Nasdaq) and he was telling me about a new device that Diablo is putting out that's similar to the LS1 Edit and doesn't cost $500. This will allow me to raise my rev limiter another 200 rpm and should allow 115 or possibley 116 mph through the traps.

You fugger. :D
Bad ass new times. I had hoped to be there right along with you giving you a run for that 11 sec mark. Unfortunately my Walbro 190 lph fuel pump decided it had had enough. As soon as I left for the track, I noticed the car was running very rough at low rpm's and sputterd and popped through the intake when I tried to get on it a little. I milked the beast home and pulled some plugs only to see the motor was going lean as hell. Fuel pressure was dropping to around 20 psi when I goosed the gas  . Atleast this gives me a good reason to upgrade to a 255 lph pump like I have been wanting to for some time. Maybe next weekend we both can make HRP and line em up. Should be a good race.

There you go Shane...parts breaking is a good excuse to go bigger and better.

Guff, that Hellion by Diablo is almost $500. I know a few guys with LS1 Edit and really seem to like it.

Get whichever you feel will do what you need it to, but IMHO the Diablo tuner is an expen$ive BARELY improved Hypertech... in other words, a waste of cash. For the same money -- and cheaper if you can share with a couple close friends -- you can have a tool that will do everything the Hypercrap/Diablow can do and much much more... ie. how about turning off your SES light, and with the car in its current state, pass your state emissions inspection? Diablo/Hypertech cannot help you, LS1edit can..

Kick A$$ Chris. Damn those LS1s! 1.67 on drag radials is pretty damn good. We would be a good race heads up on the street, it would just come down to driving skill or lack there of on my part :hail: I might edge you out, but not by much. It would come down to the hook!

Yeh I thought a 1.67 was doing alright myself. I've seen cammed auto's running 1.65's and I seem to have 3-6 mph on them on the big end.
I'm already saving for the "Guff needs a new clutch" fund :p
