The LAST (and most important) CCB of the year is Saturday, December 7th at Sealy's Lonestar Raceway Park. Due to a rainout a few weeks back, this event will be a DOUBLE POINTS race. This could provide us some needed points to maintain our 5th place team standing, which would be GREAT for a first year club who has averaged 4-5 cars an event. Other clubs have been bringing 20-40 to each event!
This is also, for the most part, the last "event" of the season, so allllllllll of you who can come out, please do! If we have enough people commit, we can work on bringing a grill out, some food, and of course, beverages. Also, the US marines is sponsoring a Toys for Tots collection. Upon entry to the track, if you provide the Toys for Tots with an UNWRAPPED new toy, they will give you a coupon for a FREE hotdog and drink. I think this is a good cause, and hell, that's a good "reward" for the generosity.
For those who dont know, the CCB is a local Houston area event that pits local car clubs/groups against each other in a bracket race. Points are gained for each round won, with a bonus to the winners club. To attend and race, it's $15. To attend and spectate, it's $10.
Aside from the racing, this is a great time for all of us friends to meet up, hang out and have a great time. It's fun for all.
So, make your plans now, if you can, to attend this last CCB of the year. The weather should be great, the racing should be great, and of course, all of the friends hangin out together is great!
