C-4 to be exact. My clutch (centerforce df) is well on its way out (as some of you remember from FF) and my T-5 is crying for mercy with a distinct and getting more annoying "whine". So I am about 90% sure that I'm going to put a C-4 in it. It should be a little easier on parts, too.
What do you think? I think it may drop a few tenths in ET with the correct converter....
I have talked to PA, Dynamic, Trans-King and JPT. May actually order one next month..?..
Am I crazy or what?

Well, I'm not the resident C4 guy, but for a race-only car, it could be a worthwhile investment with the right converter. I'll let Todd chime in with his $.02 on brand, but I believe PA is the way to go.

If memory serves, your car is not a daily driver, so the fact that it will be less streetable shouldn't be a big deal... The guy who bought my 90 ended up putting a C4 in the car and trying to daily drive it. Not only did the gas mileage take a sheet....the car was less fun to drive. He ended up pulling the C4 and putting a T5 back in it. But, again, he was daily driving his...or at least attempting to..hehe

Good Luck and let us know how it goes!

I am the guy that bought derrals old 90
The car without a dought was faster from 1 gear about 4000 rpm to the end of the race, but i had 3.73 on a motor that needed 4.30 before the c4.
Make sure the stall is the most invested in.
I have a friend in a 69 fastback with 351 windsor with a edelbrock package , which is known to make tons of torque down low, but anyway from a idle in a 3600 lb car with 4.10's 3500 dynamic stall and slitely modified c4 he was ripping 1.45 60 foots and running 7.0's in 8th .

personally, if i were to do an auto conversion, i would swap to a c6. i dont know how much power your making, but the c6 can take a bit more than tha c4. when the c6 dyno sheets are compared to the c4 dyno sheets, they are identical, meaning that the c6 does not take any more power to turn over than the c4. the only "bad" thing about the c6 is that its 50lbs heavier than tha c4, but for the added safety/reliability, 50 lbs wouldnt be that big of a deal to me. just my $0.02. :)
