Compression Question!

I'm putting together a new shortblock (hell maybe a long block for my car) - If I run JnE 17cc dished pistons to get around 8.50:1 compression - how badly will the car suffer out of boost, in terms of power and overall feel - coming from stock compression?

Also does anyone know the best palce to find JnE pistons cheap?

How does boost relate in terms of compression? Meaning how much HP can I get from running 4 extra pounds of boost - vs - say 2 points of compression?

I forgot the percentges but i do remember that one pound of boost makes more power than 1 point of compression... That being said with a centrifigal unit and not making full boost at low RPM you would need to be able to make at least 1 more pound of boost down low also not just at max RPM.

I have a single turbo system going on the car now. Hopefully I'll have 15-20psi no later than 3500rpm. Hopefully ... :D
