View Full Version : Almost back...with new terror!!!

As a few of you know the 95 is down due to a stock block decidingto split on me.Well a new terror is about to be born,a 1989 LX coupe,it's in primer right now and i'm assembling the short block tommorrow on my much needed day off.Just got off the phone with a friend and the porting job should be finished by tommorrow as well,so ol rsnow may be seeing action within the next week,as long as nothing goes wrong.It most likely won't be much of a problem to outrun the little punk motor that's going in it,I only have about $500 invested in it,how fast could it be???:D

That all depends on how much gas you shove into it :D . Whats up? This something temporary till you get the 95 back on the road or what?

Yep,just a lowly daily driver.The 95 looks like it'll be done around April or May of next year.Stroker motor made from R-blocks don't come cheap ya know.

I only have about $500 invested in it,how fast could it be???

well, if its done right..... id give it mid 13's at best.....

i have about $200 in my motor, and with everything been damn near stock, i think im runnin mid-low 14's, and i would wager ta say that a solid 13 is in my near future.:)

I don't know about mid 13's,being as the car has already seen 13.0's,before my $500 was spent on it.

doh. i think my lack of sleep led me to believe that you were going from stock to $500 in mods...:D

I hope to be ready for World Ford Challenge 6,maybe even do some testing at FFW here in H-town?I will let everyone know when the beer drinking,pizza eating,whiskey shooting,cherry pickin event will take place.As far as the little coupe goes,looks like Wednesday will be the day we get to hear her rumble.Finished assembling the short block yesterday,I have to get a bolt drilled out of one of the heads and put her together and i'll be done......for now!!
