I am thinking of taking my car out to the buick beating. My car hasnt have anything to prove, only reason will be is to have fun and drink a couple beers.
The stang is almost totally stock, but with a supercharger, 30 lbs injectors, mass air, tremec trans. and a little more mods. please no laughing first time out to the track.

I think most of us really don't have anything to prove. Its simply a hobby and hobbies were ment to be fun.

BTW...There is a guy here in Houston with a 88GT, very few bolt-ons, a T-tim, and road racing suspension as he auto-x's it most of the time. He has run a best ET of 11.87 on a set of 16" ET Streets. I think your car can still turn some heads and deffiantely get noticed. Good luck!
