First off, dont laugh at the welds, they aren't ANY worse than the "professional jobs" I've seen various shops do locally. lol

Second off, the fit of the S&W SUCKS, needs a lot of cutting, trimming, notching, etc. They need to redesign the back bars for coupes. Their bars come with the same rear bars, whether it's a coupe or hatch. Not good IMO, due to the cutout needed in rear deck. Makes it need to be MUCH larger (which = much more of a PITA). The Wolfe Racecraft bar Chris and I installed in my car fit and went in MUCH easier, but then again, it was more than twice as much. The term "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. At the same time, this means Cristina cant gripe at me for ugliness, b/c again, "you get what you pay for", and she aint payin me JACK! (unless you consider her payment as helping to put a roof over my head till I grad and can contribute on my own. :D)

Third, I know I burned the headliner, lol....

Welp, here's what I have so far.... crossbar and door bars are next. Crossbar has to wait till Cristina gets home, so I can make sure it's high enough to be legal.

I put up with you, that is payment enough!!!! :o

When can we start on the motor (time frame wise)? We need to find a place to dump it... I wonder if a salvage yard would take it?

Ah well, thinking out loud. I should get back to work. :)

Thanks Fred!

Motor will prob be pulled next Mon or Tues, and I hope to have the engine bay welded and ground by that Fri. Of course, we'll have to see if other shit comes up that prevents that....

Nicely done, Fred!

And your welds look MUCH better than my dobbing (it look's like a 'professional' did mine)! I'm STILL not used to the MIG (flux core).

What welder brand and model do you have?

And you used Argon I presume?
