Well we FINALLY got the exhaust taken care of on the stang. This is something I wanted to happen before Fun Ford Ennis, but my Dr. Gas X pipe was on back order. First off I would like to thank Fred for his tremendous amount of help with all of this. To do it right, we had to cut and lengthen a portion of the x pipe to make it fit with the Torque Arm so it was not a typical install.

Old combo: And old beat-up “I call him tetanus” off-road pipe. and the venerable Stock catback

New Combo: Dr. Gas X. pipe, DynoMax catback with Race Magnum ovals. We didn’t get to do the tail
pipes due to time but eventually, those will be installed too(so it is dumped right now).

Results? :D

First thing, a second gear roll (2000rpm) now is pretty much useless as the boost comes on MUCH quicker than it did before. Also it used to read 7 maybe 7.5 # and now it reads more like 9#! And with that added boost its also pinging a little, so I plan on pulling some timing out of it tonight. I only really got on it all the way twice due to the pinging.

Mr. Frazier, if you have some time this week (and if I have time) I got an extra O2 bung that could use a wideband in it for just a few minutes.
:burnout:

Trevor: Cool! Sounds like a step in the right direction! Please let me know how the Dynomax clears the PHB...

Thats great to hear Trevor. It was pretty much a no brainer the new exhaust would do nothing but help. Sounds like some 120+ mph 1/4's will soon be in your future. So how does it sound now?

Sounds good though it needs tailpipes. Too "droney" for my tastes.

still quieter than any other 'dumped' car I've heard.

:) Glad you're happy Trevor :)

well, it was MORE insightful than when I asked "what did you have on there before?" before I re-read the post and edited my brain fart out! LOL!

LOL!!! You have a good point. :) You can delete your post, I think, if no one's posted after or something like that. :)
