I'm doing these subframes.
#1. You had too many beers when you drilled the driver's side seat bar. I had to open them up a little to fit.
#2. The connectors fit pretty well considering that you didn't have "the" car present when you built them.
#3. Should I weld the front first, then the back?
#4. Would it be of any value to the folks here on the PoMoFo site for me to snap pics and do a little write up?
Thank you,
Please drive through.

I think so Brett - it'd be nice to have a write up from someone else's perspective and maybe even different pictures. I know Fred is doing a write up but (IMO), I always like more than one point of view when reading technical material.
So in other words, yes! Please! :)

LOL! If you recall, I warned you about the driver's side seat holes, and, as I recall (although under the influence at the time :D), 'we' decided to risk it...LOL! Figures they would be wrong :)
I hate that they didn't fit; please modify as required, record time and expense, and I will reimburse you accordingly...
I tack the front and rears before I start welding them out, FWIW. Please do take some pics and write something up; I'll add the drawings, and have everybody proof read it. A big JV write-up, LOL!
Good luck with the install, and don't forget to cap the front of the connector off and blend in accordingly...
What?! Now you want the money for the screws you had to buy for the tailgate mat? :D
Please let me know how the install goes, and what you think...
Nay!
BTW, the original write-up (thanks to Paul Campbell!) is here (http://www.oldwestracing.com/articles/subconn/subs.htm) for reference...
A couple of pictures: (my first set of full-lengths, on a 'vert)

Seems Fred has the good pictures already. There are a few places along the front where it appears that it will require a little fill --production tolerances...
You guys also welded the full length of the front. I was gonna do 3" skip a couple and 3" more....etc
I guess the more weld the better. Paco is doing it for $50. --he has the mig and the lift. Of course, I get to do all the fit up and prep work.:fu:
We'll see how these complement my "Neighbors Torque Built 390" rearend.:D
The fit is really pretty good considering that the fabricator had comsumed multiple Miller Lites and then saw some stock lying around.

It's got to be quite the show whatching Nay down the frosty beverages while wielding a welder in the other had LOL Be glad he didn't weld his initials in the side :D
I gotta redo that writeup! It's almost embarrassing after all this time. What's worse is all the pics are of a style that we don't even do anymore :sheesh:
Oh well, my excuses are running thin. If any of you guys put a fresh writeup together, please let me know. I'll add it to the links!
