Will a 28" MT et drag be ok with low horsepower and a 410 gear?
I found a good deal on a complete set and could swap to a 26" tall tire later I guess?
I have a set of pony's on it now with almost new Nitto DR on it.

It'll be good on nitrous, not really optimal for a stockish motor setup.

ok. I may just wait and buy bogarts or drg stars... or sell off 28's and buy a set of 26's

David,

You'll be happier with 26x8.5's at the power level you are currently at (along with the 4.10's). Later, with more power - then 28x9's would be nice (they are actually 27" diameter -ET drags that is).

The Nitto's you have on the ponys should be fine for now. Although not Nitto's, the LX I had that I spoke about before was cutting 1.7 60's N/A and 1.6's with a little shot of nitrous on 245/50/16 (26" tire) M/T DR's on ponys. I would be willing to bet your car would actually slow down if you tried a 28" tire at your power level. IMO 28" tires are to much for anything slower than mid 11's.

depending on the width/backspacing, you may have to flip the quad shock around.

I may not even use them, May just use DR I have for now. Not sure.
