A challenge....against a camaro

ok, so one of the guys that works the same unit here at the plant bought a 80 ish camaro with a big block 2 weeks ago. The car was on CL and according to him it makes 6-700 hp, of course when I asked who did the dyno work... he said he didn't get into all that with the guy he bought it from. LMAO It also has wire wheels/radials and a tunnel ram with x2 4s. sticking thru the hood.

SO...then all i hear about constantly is "the mustang killer camaro":gay: so I called him out on it! He accepted and we are gonna meet at hrp on Fri night at HRP. April 2nd

I will do a tune up and all the typical crap and slap some tires and mabye a gear and 100 dry shot and see if I can go crack that Azz.. I am gonna need some help to even be close by April 2nd. I really dont wanna buy wheels yet because I want Bogarts. any chance I can borrow a set for one night? I will gladly pay for wear. I think I have to have a 5.5 BS on an 8 in. wheel to clear the rear brakes? I start my days off on Tuesday and will work on it until we leave for vac on Friday. I have all the interior out now so theres some free et!

A 100 dry shot on the cobra with sticky tires will probably get you to the mid 12s. I have an NX shark nozzle you can have if you can convert to a single fogger nozzle kit. you'll need a fuel solenoid and fitting to pull the fuel to it from the rails.

What if he borrows some tires and truly does have some decent power?

If all else fails, hopefully my car will be track worthy by then and I can crack his a$$ for ya LOL.

nope 4 lug, gonna buy some 17" Mt DR tomorrow. 275-40-17s got all the tune up stuff earlier. I dont have a volt meter to set tps tho. and honestly its been soo long I dont remember what its supposed to be set at.

I ran a 12.30 on a crappy slick and a 125 shot all stock with an h pipe and gear in my 91 lx .
Got all tune up stuff in the car today except the plugs because I accidentally got platinums.. exchanging for copper tomorrow. also cleaned {nasty dirty} mass air meter and throttle body out. I need an offroad h pipe. Im sure the cats are in bad shape considering the rest of the maint items. prob o2 sensors also.

I've got a set of turbine rims collecting dust in my garage. They have some old m&h racemasters mounted on them.

These are 26" x 8" street/strip tires. I think they call them G60s...They're capable of 1.5x short times because I know a car that cut it on em about 6 years ago (and it wasnt mine.. lol).

Got a set of Flowmasters today off of westside for 40.00. with tubes upstream of mufflers. I really wanted bullets but for the price I couldnt go wrong. I will be installing 2 1/2 " new syetem when the car goes back together for real. Also talked to Rick Stevens today about chassis work. Will go to him in Jun/July.
