Well, after our appt. today, the doc wants us to come in Sat night at 8pm. So, the baby might be here that night but more than likely she'll be here Sunday, Dec. 20.
Too close to Xmas but I'll just always tell her that I wanted the best Xmas present ever so that's why we decided to do it when we did, :)
Btw, for those who didn't know, we decided on....

And just before she starts crawling you'll be investing in an HD video camera.. (Well at least I did/wanted to..) :D

Here and all checked in. Now just playing the waiting (and adrenaline dumping) game.
Fwiw, we're at Memorial Hermann Northwest at 610 and Ella. Once Sabrina is here, visiting hours are 8:30a to 8:30p. Will update with room number once we get moved to post-partum.

Oxytocin starts in 10 minutes. She's been having contractions consistently since yesterday afternoon before we even arrived but she's only 1.5cm dialated. Things should progress now.

still no changes. Doc hasn't even shown up yet. Her contractions are sharper/more painful now but other than that, no real changes.

You stay awake all night? If so, I bet you're hurting by now....

Of course. One way to help me keep calm, haha.
Update. Epidural is in bc the contraction pain was bad for her after the water broke.
They made me leave while they do it so waiting to go back in.
I think we'll have another guest by dinner time for sure.

They made me leave while they do it so waiting to go back in.
That's standard procedure - I had to step out while the epidural went in on all of mine.
Glad to hear it's moving along! Stay calm, Dad! :D

Mama is nice and happy now that the epi is in. The frequency of the contractions has slowed some so they are about to restart the oxytocin and check her again.

Fred,
To break the ice do what I did when lance was born if the next contraction ask if she wants another kid. Just make sure nothing that can be thrown is around and you are standing out of reach. Of course the nurse told me she didnt think it was the time to discuss it. I told her I thought it was the perfect time :)
Good luck. Nothing like being a parent.

Wow Technology has come a long way. Used to be the father watched and fainted. Then came video so the the dads can watch it later and now, brought to you the first time by PoMoFoRacing is live coverage of a birth via message board.
Seriously Fred - good luck we are on the edge of our seats.

Thanks all. This just helps me vent my anxiety about all of this, haha. It's taking for-ev-errr.
We were at 4.5cm an hour or so ago. At this rate, I'm thinking 5-6pm.

Welcome to the world, Sabrina Elena!
Bon Voyage, Fred and Shabana! You two have begun the lifelong adventure that is parenthood! And those tickets are nonrefundable! It's a wonderful adventure; I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
Get lots of sleep in the hospital 'cause you won't get much at home.

Everything is slowing down enough now to post here. I'm working on resizing pictures to upload to my site.
Sabrina Elena Bingham blessed us with her presence at 6:21pm on Dec. 20th. She was 6lb, 15oz and 19" at birth. So far, she's a healthy little thing and she's awake, aware and eyes open and looking at us.
I'm still finding it unbelievable.

Late to the party, but wanted to say Congrats to you and mom. Christmas was a blast, I bet!!! Parenthood has its ups and downs, but overall, the good greatly outweighs the bad. Here's to a happy, healthy baby girl!!

Danke sir.
Nay asked in Chuck's thread so I'll update here...
Things are going well so far. She's on more of a "up at night, sleep during the day" schedule right now, but other than that, things are good. She goes to the doc for her checkup on Tuesday so we'll see how she's doing weight-wise then.
She's very active when she's awake, kicking and punching a lot. She lifts/moves her head a lot too. When I burp her, she'll lift her head from facing towards my neck and turn it so she's facing my shoulder (and vise versa). It's pretty cool.
I go back to work on Monday, so that's going to suck. Shabana is home until March 1 though.
