there is nobody on the site and i stumbled on the site by accident after clicking on links from the good sites like wsm and htownracing. i thought wow another local forum i cant wait to be a part of it and help another entrepreneur grow his site.

My day started by making my rounds on wsa and then htownracing i finally got to "pohomoracing' and i admit that i have never posted on here but god damn there is nothing to post about on here its dead, i ran accross the 18and up part and thouht mAybe i could do some posting on here since the rest of the forum is dead so i noticed that you have to pm to get access so i did and got this response.

well, whoever you are, I guess hello and good by. This site is basically a small group of guys that talk shop and hang out together whenever we are all able to get a break away from our family lives. Now basically every guy/girl on this site is married and almost all with kids. Hell, there are 5 of us that have twins!!!

There never was an intention for this to be a big site, just a place for this group to shoot the $hit and exchange ideas. That is why you don't see a lot of posting.

Now if you want to come on here and ask a tech question about your car or race car, or whatever, this is the place to ask. There is enough knowledge on this site to solve most problems or questions you may have.

We've got everything here from bone stock daily drivers, to 9 and 10 second all motor small block cars, to 7 and 8 second true 10.5 cars. So should you decide to stick around and ask advice, glad to have you. Should you choose to avoid the site, well its your loss. We were here before and we'll continue on as we have for many years.

I generally wouldn't respond to something like this, but for some reason I feel compelled to put my two cents in.

You're right, this site does suck.....if you're looking for meaningless teenagers who have no idea how to work on their own car. Or if you like to read endless threads full of mis-information. Or if you surfing the net looking for porn because you can't go out and get laid on your own.

I'd venture to say that the people who do hang out on this forum, and who do contribute regularly, have more combined experience than all of the other car related forum members in Houston. I'll also state that a vast majority of the contributors on this site are capable of correctly diagnosing and repairing their own cars and if they need help they'll get on here and you'll see quite a few volunteering their time. As Carl stated, most, if not all, of the contributors here have wives and families, yet when one of us needs a hand they'll do what it takes to help out.

It's pretty obvious that you're either looking for drama, or looking start some drama. That's something that rarely, if ever, exists on this forum. If you're looking for some of the most knowlegable guys who will give correct and accurate info on ANY given part of your car, then you're at the right place.

Lastly, I'm willing to bet that you either don't own a car, or you have no interest in cars because if you did then you'd realize that being a member of this forum would benefit you more than you could ever imagine.

Wow, how nice of him to want to help our site grow. He's been registered since June 24 yet never made a post and only PM'd me to see pr0n. Yeah, he really wanted to help. Also, I'm not entrepreneur with this site, as has been stated many times. It's a side thing for fun.
