Pulling trans 94 Town Car

Anyone pull a trans out of a Crown Vic/ Marquis / Town Car

How difficult is it. Are they hard to rebuild - what special tools/tricks required.

The pimpmobile has the 130K mile converter shutter

No harder to pull than a regular trans...

As far as rebuild, it's an AOD-E, and not -too- bad. Since it's an early unit, you'll want to upgrade a few things if you plan to pimp it for a few more years (IMHO). One nice option for that thing would be to go to a wide-ratio set out of a 4R70W to get the thing moving a little quicker...
