With a .496 red. :riped: My bracket racing season is done. I ran 3 6.40's in a row and a marginal track at best 60fts were off with 1.44's and 1.42's in elmination. I have the front struts set at 7 to keep the front end down. I bought back in and won my 2nd round with the other guy redlighting. I was trying to delay my launch since I had redlighted the 3 previous passes. .610 light 6.38 on a .40. 3rd round another horrible light and broke out with a 6.37. All runs were 107.6 to 107.8's. Not too bad considering the air isnt so great. I may put an adjustable tranbrake button in the car and a box in the car if I decide to stick with bracket racing.

I plan on running the index race next weekend and then take a month or so off with a big turnaround coming up at work.

Are you using the t-brake? I wouldn't use it in the bracket racing without a delay box, or some big a$$ front tires and shallow staging. You're going to screw up your index reaction times that way. When I was bracket racing in QF at FFW this year, I was footbraking. Even with the little tires up front, I was doing well on the footbrake with .01-.03 lights on average. Went all the way to the finals and broke out against a guy that nailed his dial in.

What does that 6.37 equal 1/4 mile for your car?
10.00 or 10.06?

I use a different suspension setup for my bracket racing than when index to slow the reaction of the car down. I am currently only leaving off the brake at 4400, which is 1400 below normal. The car still reacts close to .50X's right now but its right on the edge of redlighting. I have a better chance of going rounds in Electronic classes instead of footbrake, because I suck at footbraking.

I will go back out this friday and set my suspension back to what it was back in May and get my mind set back in the pro tree state for the index race. I am probably not gonna put the struts back at 3, but maybe 4-5 to try and keep the front down. I dont think I will have a problem. I have a routine I use when I stage on a pro tree and try and make sure I stick with it.

Every pass would have probably been in the 10.0 range. I have only been to the 1/4 mile once since installing the 4.88's. It slower mph wise out the back now with the 4.88's. I was only running 134 with 109 trap speeds in the 1/8. Looks like my high 107's would have been 133's maybe low 134's. When the cooler air comes around after the turnaround in August I expect to have the car back in the 6.20's@109. I have a few gallons of C-44 I might give a shot.
