What can I do to get rid of the EGR codes if I remove it altogether. I currrently have it installed and it is not hooked up to a vacuum line right now, but I was thinking of removing it altogether.

I think a Tweecer can handle that.

Yes a tweecer can turn off the EGR system. I think someone also makes a EGR simulator you can plug into your harness. Check the corral.net or Ebay.

I will try the simulator first since I don't have a Tweecer.

Thanks for the help.

I've also heard of guys using a big zip-tie to hold the valve shut and letting it hang somewhere in the engine bay. Sounds red-neckish but might be a short term solution until you can do it "right"...

EDIT: But for $19, why bother.... http://www.adaptiveperformance.com/egr.htm

Ok, so I have the EGR simulator and finished removing the entire system from my car yesterday. I used the coin trick to block off the hole in the header (cut one of the bolts of the tube and bolt it down with a coin to block off the hole).

I'll road test it tonight, didn't get out yesterday.
