After that open carry thread Im curious what handguns you guys own? We have lots of shotguns and rifles at the house but only two handguns. A .22 revolver and a XD-9. Im thinking about picking up another XD in either .357 Sig or 40SW sometime soon.

I have a Kel Tek 9mm, I actually bought it for a daily carry but never got the license.
I also have an "old timey" .22 revolver that my dad gave me. It's kind of worthless but it has some sentimental meaning to me, I need to take it to a gun shop to have some work done to it.
Formerly had a Colt King Cobra, .357 magnum. One hell of a gun. I sold it a few years back however, it was a big flashy show-piece and more gun then I needed.

Glock 19, looking to get a .45 soon, probably a Glock compact also.
Glock 22C with a non compensated Storm Lake Barrel, glock 35 extended mag release, glock 35 extended slide release, lone wolf 3.5# connector and tlr-1 light
Glock 27 stock.
Next handgun purchase will probably be a Glock 35 then a Para Ordinance or Kimber.

Carl, my bro in-laws step father had two or three Rugar KP's (biggest gun nut Ive ever met), they all shoot straight and work well.
Nick, do most of the guys you know carry .40's?

Several riffles and shotguns, .270 Remmington, 30/30 Winchester, .308 Remmington, a few .22s, 12 gauge 870 Remmington Pump, 20 gauge Remmington 1100, 16 gauge Ithica....no pistols anymore, I had a nice S&W model 666 .357 that I sold a few years ago.

Its probably spread out across the board. Most are prob 40 and 45 and then some 9mm.
I'll only carry .40 on duty. Good statistics for one shot stops and good round capacity as well.
And my primary weapon mags fit in my backup if the shit ever hits the fan.

I actually have two, but neither are ones I could use. One my father made for my grandfather from a kit. It is a black powder rifle he made like 35+ years ago. I remember him working on it when I was a kid. My dad actually fired it a few times, but my grandfather just displayed it on his wall.
The other is some kind of 22 pistol my grandfather bought like 50+ years ago. I didn't even know he had it until we got a letter from Gander Mt. that his gun was ready from service. I keep it put up, but maybe I can throw it at someone if they break in! LOL!

Not a big gun nut, but I do have a Hi-point 9mm :blue: It might not be fancy or expensive but it does shoot bullets in the direction I point it, lol. I also have a 20 guage shot gun as well. I would like a revolver of some sort as well.

LOL! Werd! When in need, I pull out the Nerf Strike Recon. When the $hit really gets deep, I find the ol Super Soaker 9000 does the trick. My son felt the full force of the Super Soaker this past weekend. I think he learned his leason and won't be stealing from the cookie jar again.

Dam! How many rounds does that drum hold?
Alex in Houston
07-09-2008, 08:04 PM
The StreetSweeper/Stryker is designed to hold 12 rounds. Our Government classifies them as a Destructive Device and limits magizine size to 8 (used to be 10 ). I bought mine before the classification and because of my prior military classification, mine holds 11.
And Guff, I moved to predominatley WHite neighborhood (I'm the only darkie on my block :D ) so hopefully there won't be any home invasions, LOL!!! Plus, most of my weapons are kept in a safe in a different location. I keep a shot gun and a pistol or two (though I do have an SKS in my sights that I plan to buy when I get home). My other shit is my way of preparing for the war that the members of stormfront.org are always talking about ;).

Picked up 2 of the Ruger LCPs. Cool little gun. Got the CT laser, but still need to site it in. 300 rounds of WWB through the barrel and no issues. Will be loaded with Buffalo Bore FN and JHP for SD use.

I have one gun. Havent shot it in probably 4-5 years. Glock 22. Bought it back in 1996 I think cant remember. Not really into a big gun collection just looking for something for home protection.
I use to shoot ALOT but then again that was my job for 20 years. For 3 years I shot every day. If the Navy has it I have shot it and if it has an auto switch on it I have shot it in auto (sometimes without permission) I am a pretty damn good shot with a handgun and not too bad with a rifle (was known for hitting a 55 gallon drum on a moving ship at 300 yards with open sights :hmm: ), but then again I havent picked one up since I retired.
Picked up a Kimber TLE RL II on thursday, and a Bushmaster TX M4 today. Will post pics after I get them cleaned up, forgot how much oil they use when they pack them for shipping.
Now its time to buy toys for the M4....so many choices...
