I need some recommendations. I had planned to just go with some eibach springs in the rear and upgrade the control arms and such later. Is this really the direction I should head? I've seen several people just running cut stock springs now and wonder if I should save my money in that dept and go ahead and get some control arms..
Ideas?

I'm running some cut stockers at the moment, but having trouble getting the car to sit where I want it. I think I may end up putting some lower springs in it to try and get it down....
Cutting the spring works, but as you cut it, the overall spring rate goes up. If you cut it a lot (as I did with my 95), it becomes a short, yet incredibly stiff spring.

What are the intentions for the car? That will determine what spring you should run and/or if you actually "need" lower/upper control arms.

The car with be a weekend cruiser with some occasional strip time. I by no means will be racing this car on a consistant basis or competively. If I get to where I really want to do that, I will sell and buy something other than a vert. With that also being said, this car is not a primary source of transportation. It will be used to enjoy some hp and special event type racing.
Setup
306 N/A - Forged stock height pistons, h beams rods, stock bottom end
AFR 265's
Custom Cam
SystemMax Intake
C4
31 spline, 3:73 rear
I'm not going to be running 10's anytime soon, but do want to set the car up to perform traction wise when the time comes.
I may be completely over thinking the whole situation and just need to throw the stock stuff on the rear and upgrade down the road. But while I have the rear end out of the car, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take care of this at this time..

I would just get some solid upper and lower arms with some polyurethane bushings, if you have the money for adjustables for it. The rear cut stock springs will work fine, depending how much you cut it.

I'm running Eibach Pro-Kit (1" drop in front, 7/8" rear) with BBK Upper and Lower control arms and it rides great. Whatever you do, if you lower it, remember to change the pinion snubber so that you won't be bottoming out too soon.
