Can one of you Southside people give a weather report near the track around 3:30 or 4:00? Hate to drive out there and not get to race.

Actually

is better. But radar never picks up the thin misty stuff that stops you from racing.

I'm probably 5 minutes from the track. The office is right over the big bridge on 146 here in Baytown. I'll try and remember to post before I leave today or give me a shout at the office...800-624-9302 x 7134.

It looks kind of grim out here though if you are planning on racing.

Ran into a snag and can't go. Wa sputting a fuel regulator on the car and thought I had a -6 an fitting which I had to go get. It's 4 and I still need to R&R carbs, install new fuel line and notch one more carb float. Looks like I'm going to Sealy on Friday.

Which car are you doing all of that work to Ken?

His car is fine. It's his Pit Bike he's doing all the work to. :D

working on turdasaur. It's always a slight bog off the line (2.0 60 fts), probably due to 9 lbs of fuel pressure (thats about 2.5 lbs high for you fuel injected guys). I helped a friend put a 393 in his early model Sun and I need to eliminate the bog if I'm still going to keep up in my 302. Need to put in jet extensions so I have to notch floats. Still have to fab up some slosh tubes etc. One the good side of this week I just dropped my heads off a the machine shop and started the process of getting buttuglybutfastasuar running.

My pit bike is ok, but the wife's....................

You're still dinking with Turdasaur? I thought you had the kinks worked out of that car after putting on the new carbs!

So what's the scoop on Buttuglybutfastasaur? I wanna hear and see that dino run!!!!

Turdasaur update - put on the 450's and it ran real good on the street, better than the 390's that were on there. Took it to Sealy and launched it on the return road concrete pad and left black marks the length of it. But at the tree the car launched like a super gas car. Jump in the air, then fell on it's face. Hope I have it fixed with the fuel regulator, power valve plugs, jet extensions and anti-slosh tubes.

Butttuglybutfastasaur - got the motor mocked in the car and found the original headers will work on the new flanges (whew that saved about $1k) Heads, block and rotating assembly are over at the machine shop. Heads will be ported first. Plans are for a 4.15 stroke 512 using an A460 block, eagle rotating assembly and Blue Thunder heads w/Chevy exhaust ports.
